My first blog post!

Hey loves! This is my first blog post EVER and I am so excited. It will basically be a brief background about me and why I decided to start this blog.

My name is Kamiji Malasha and I’m a 22 year old from Lusaka Zambia. There is nothing really sophisticated about me other than the fact that I love food. I love to eat and I’m a die hard foodie. I’m a great cook and I love to explore on food once in a while. However I come from a family that has a strict timetable when it comes to food. It literally goes like this; Mondays = beans, Tuesdays = kapenta (small fish), Wednesdays= chicken, Thursdays = beef, Fridays = fish, Saturdays= dried fish, vimbombo or game meat and Sundays= special meals (this is when something ‘different’ is cooked). With this timetable honestly there is no exploring in food and it gets boring, eating the same food every week. So I decided that it’s best I go out and explore the wonders of food on my own. Don’t want to die not knowing how crabs taste LOL. So early last month my sisters and I decided that I start a food/restaurant blog. Where once in a while when I go out to eat I let people know about my experience with the restaurant and the food. So this is where we are. My blog. My restaurant/food blog.

I also decided to do some research on how food blogging works and one of the points I noted was to make sure there are enough places to blog about in my city. I’m from Lusaka, so after I did some research I discovered that we actually have about 40+ restaurants (excluding fast food restaurants btw). 40+ is a really big number and some of them I didn’t even know about. So this is what my blog will be about, discovering new food, discovering new eating places and letting you know about my experience witch each one of them. I’m excited to start my blogging journey and I’m hoping you’re excited to start this journey with me.

However, due to me being a full time law student, I’ll be posting up a new blog every after two weeks. Until I can sort out a better time table kindly bare with me on this one :). Look out for my latest update this Friday!
